Thomas Tuchel has just made £60m bid for 29-year-old who Chelsea were expected to move for

According to a previous report by 90min, Tottenham Hotspur anticipated that Chelsea would express interest in signing their English player during the summer transfer window, considering that he only has one year left on his contract.

Although the talk of Chelsea pursuing Kane has subsided somewhat, Bayern Munich has now decided to make a bid for the prized Tottenham player. 90min suggests that Bayern Munich, under the influence of their manager Tuchel, is planning to offer a package worth £60 million for the 29-year-old forward, which includes additional bonuses.

It has been reported that Tottenham has denied receiving any formal offer for Kane. If such an offer does arrive, the club intends to reject it. Daniel Levy, Chairman of Tottenham, still believes that he can convince Kane to stay and potentially sign a new contract.

In addition to Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has also shown interest in Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer, while Real Madrid is keeping an eye on the situation after losing Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad.

Bayern Munich is in search of a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who departed for Barcelona last summer, as the signing of Sadio Mane did not yield the expected results.

Kane’s impressive performance of scoring 32 goals for a struggling Tottenham side during the 2022/23 season has attracted interest from top European clubs.

Considering the intense rivalry between Chelsea and Tottenham, negotiating with Levy, who is known to be a tough negotiator, may prove challenging for Chelsea.

Levy is likely to demand a significant premium on top of any bid considered acceptable from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, or PSG if Chelsea were to pursue Kane.

Therefore, it might be in Chelsea’s best interest to direct their efforts towards other targets, such as Victor Osimhen or Dusan Vlahovic.
