Timo Werner’s alleged departure from Chelsea is denied by Thomas Tuchel

Timo Werner is reportedly wanting to leave Chelsea this summer, but Thomas Tuchel has refuted those rumors.

The 26-year-old scored 23 goals in 89 games for Chelsea but has failed to make an impression since his £47.5 million transfer from RB Leipzig in 2020.

According to a report from Sky Germany on Friday, Werner is looking for a move during the transfer window due to tension between Tuchel and him, and a return to the Bundesliga is a possibility.

Tuchel responded on Friday when asked if there was any truth to the reports, “I don’t think so.”

Timo hasn’t discussed it with me, therefore I’m unaware of it.

‘At the moment, I believe he wants to succeed at Chelsea. He still needs to make a point.

Tuchel also used the occasion to remind Chelsea’s management that his team “needs to be more competitive” by making fresh acquisitions.

The Chelsea manager stated, “Someone once told me years ago and I’ll never forget, if you’re on a stairlift that is going down, you have to keep on walking to preserve your position, and this is what it is.”

The Premier League and high-level sports in general are so demanding that you must improve if you want to keep your position.

“We need to finish our assignment.” We need to be more competitive than we are right now because the other teams are not dozing off.
