Todd Boehly has been told to sell 120k per week Chelsea star this summer for £100million this summer

Glen Johnson, a former Chelsea defender, thinks the club should think about offloading Mason Mount this summer, but only at a price of £100 million.

This summer, Mount is allegedly a target for Manchester United and Liverpool.

At the conclusion of the next season, Mount’s Chelsea contract expires, and he has so far turned down all extension offers.

The time is running out, and Chelsea must be assertive in their commercial dealings, Johnson told Betfred. Mason being connected to a few Premier League teams seems like a bit of a bluff in this entire issue, in my opinion.

The club is aware that Mason’s position would only strengthen as time passes without a new contract, thus I believe Chelsea would not want to trade him to a Premier League team. Nevertheless, if the summer transfer window closes and he hasn’t already signed a new contract, they will have to sell him to another Premier League team since they can’t take the chance of letting him go for free.

If Mason’s contract does expire in 2024, he will most likely join a rival Premier League team on a free transfer. You’d rather sell him for £100 million than let him go away for free, so if he doesn’t agree to a new contract, Chelsea may as well face the bullet and accept the money for him.

“The club will undoubtedly strive to make the best deal they can this summer, whether it’s persuading him to resign or sell him for a decent price. They can’t take the chance of letting him go unpaid.
