“We can’t forgive him for this” – Man UTD stars reveals ‘unhappiness’ with what Erik ten Hag has just done

Reports indicate that Erik ten Hag is encountering difficulties in maintaining unity within his Manchester United squad. The Red Devils recently suffered a defeat in their Champions League opener, adding to their woes after a prior home loss to Brighton and a 4-3 away defeat against Bayern Munich.

During the game, there were numerous errors, including a costly one from goalkeeper Andre Onana, who has faced criticism for his performance. Onana was responsible for the first goal conceded, and doubts persist regarding the club’s high-profile summer signing. It’s not just the fans who have raised questions; some players are also dissatisfied with the club’s decision-making in the summer, particularly concerning the goalkeeping department.

As reported by The Sun, several players remain unhappy about how the departure of David De Gea, who is currently without a club, was handled. De Gea’s contract expired in the summer, and the two parties failed to reach an agreement on an extension, resulting in the Spaniard’s release.

Despite spending 12 years at the club, De Gea’s farewell was less than ceremonious. While the veteran goalkeeper had faced challenges in his final years at the club, he had also been one of the world’s top keepers during many of his seasons at Old Trafford.

According to the report, some of the United players believe that De Gea should have been shown more respect before his departure, which they view as somewhat abrupt. While Ten Hag may consider this a resolved matter in his squad-building approach, it remains a source of discontent among some players. This discontent adds to the existing issues in the dressing room, including poor performances, controversies involving Mason Greenwood and Antony, and the public dispute between Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho.
