“What an Outstanding performance” Jamie Carragher reveals Chelsea player’s display in the 2-0 win vs Aston Villa

Kepa Arrizabalaga of Chelsea received high praise from Jamie Carragher for his individual display during Sunday’s match against Aston Villa.

Graham Potter kept the Blues’ winning streak going this past weekend with a tenacious 2-0 victory away to Villa in the Premier League.

Mason Mount scored Chelsea’s first goal of the season in the opening six minutes after taking advantage of a terrible error by the opposition’s Tyrone Mings.

With an outstanding long-range free kick in the second half, he doubled his team’s score and secured three league points.

Carragher extolled Kepa.

The first-half performance of Kepa, who made sure his team went into the break with a one-goal advantage, astounded Sky Sports analyst Carragher.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper made a number of impressive saves to maintain his current starting position ahead of Edouard Mendy.

In example, he made an early season stop from a Danny Ings header in the six-yard area that was a contender for save of the year.

“This is unquestionably his best performance while wearing a Chelsea jersey,” I said. He has been outstanding in every way. During the halftime of Villa vs. Chelsea, Carragher said on Sky Sports’ Main Event program, “He has kept Chelsea in the game (2:55pm, 16 October).

“Danny Ings actually made the best save after that. He tips this one over the bar at point-blank range. It’s wonderful. He has been exceptional in every way.

Kepa is working to disprove all of his critics, which is fair given his eventful time at Stamford Bridge up to this point.

Intriguingly, in the lead-up to Chelsea’s victory over Villa, Carragher admitted to taking a quick shot at the Spanish goalie.

“That goalkeeper is not good enough to win the Premier League,” Carragher stated of Kepa.

Only a few hours later, the same commentator was gushing about Chelsea’s current number one keeper.
