Former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has advised Harry Maguire, the Manchester United defender, to depart both the club and the Premier League. This recommendation comes after Manchester United’s decision to remove Maguire from his captaincy position at Old Trafford.
Even though Maguire had previously expressed his determination to remain at the club, despite having limited appearances under Erik ten Hag’s management last season, the recent captaincy removal has led Agbonlahor to believe that the club no longer values the English player’s presence at Old Trafford.
Agbonlahor stated his opinion during a talkSPORT interview, saying, “In my view, Harry Maguire should seriously consider finding a new team, especially with the Euros approaching. He should seek a place where he can regularly play at a level he believes he is capable of. If I were in his shoes, I would consider moving to another European league, like Italy or Spain, to secure consistent game time. I feel uncomfortable witnessing the way Manchester United fans treat him.”
