After Chelsea’s loss to the freshly crowned Premier League winners Manchester City, Frank Lampard addressed doubts regarding his future in a press conference.
When asked if he would continue working at Chelsea as a coach under Pochettiono, Lampard answered, “No.” “There will definitely be a new manager who will bring his own coaches.”
He continued, “We need to show forward momentum in the last two games to get to where we want to be.” regarding what must be done in the season’s final two games. Even though we can never be satisfied when we lose to Chelsea, that performance merited a draw.
“You should always represent Chelsea with pride. There will soon be a new manager, so if that is the driving force, great. They have occasionally fallen short of it, but tonight we came very close to being proud, as evidenced by the performance and the team. It is a tiny step that we took when we switched plays and played through midfield.
When asked about the direction the club’s future might take, Lampard said, “It is in their hands. I am unable to estimate how long it will take [to return to the top] . It depends on the team’s leadership and the players. This Premier League is becoming more competitive.
