El Clasico: Courtois tells Barcelona that its triumph against Real Madrid is insignificant

El Clasico: Courtois tells Barcelona that its triumph against Real Madrid is insignificant.

Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, has informed Barcelona that their 1-0 friendly victory over Carlo Ancelotti’s team in the preseason El Clasico does not count.

According to Courtois, the Los Blancos players wouldn’t be affected by the game’s conclusion.

Following an incredible goal from Raphinha, Barcelona upset Real Madrid in Las Vegas, USA, on Sunday. The Belgian international played a part in that victory.

At his press conference following the game, Courtois stated, “Obviously, you can’t take too many conclusions.”

“Some people have been in the gym for two weeks, while others have only been there for one.

“The most crucial thing is to establish a rhythm and begin with good intensity, something we lacked in previous years.

“For a debut match, it was decent. The only issue is that they scored a fantastic goal while we went without scoring.

“They got one that went into the top corner while we hit the crossbar.

“In preseason, the outcome is meaningless.

“I recall the game against Atletico Madrid, which we lost to 7-3 before defeating them twice and winning the league that year.

“The current results don’t reveal anything. We would obviously want to win, especially in front of American supporters, but it was our first game, so we needed to settle in.

“We shouldn’t take the defeat too seriously, even though we don’t enjoy it.”
