Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has disclosed one advantage his team has over Borussia Dortmund before their Champions League matchup on Wednesday night.
At the Etihad Stadium, Man City will host Dortmund in a Champions League group stage matchup.
However, Guardiola feels Man City will be at an advantage since some of his players have assisted him in his pregame preparations.
“They [Dortmund] know these players [Haaland, Gundogan, Gomez, and Akanji] better than I know their players,” Guardiola remarked during his pre-game press conference.
“They might get something. Additionally, the City players are more familiar with the Dortmund players, so perhaps that will work in our favor.
The players are more knowledgeable about football than I am, they know what to look for, and they are more familiar with the rival players. I can watch a trillion films and recordings about gaming, yet they are more knowledgeable than I am.
