‘He was dreadful’: Chris Sutton criticized a 26-year-old Liverpool player for his performance on Sunday.

The match between the two teams was incredibly dynamic, with both sides in need of defensive midfielders and pushing hard for the entire 90 minutes. It’s quite surprising that the game concluded with a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool began the game with four attacking players on the field, but they managed to score only one goal collectively.

Diogo Jota was given the responsibility of leading the attack. Despite being selected as Liverpool’s striker for the match, his contribution was notably lacking.

During a discussion on the Fantasy 606 Podcast on BBC Radio Five Live, Chris Sutton shared his assessment of Jota’s performance in the recent game, expressing disappointment and labeling the striker’s display as ‘awful.’

“Yeah, I was quite let down by his performance over the weekend; he was truly terrible, and I was relieved when he was substituted. However, I do have a liking for Jota, and I intend to maintain faith in him,” Sutton remarked.
