‘I don’t know what your problem is’ – Jack Grealish slams Liverpool legend

Jack Grealish, a midfielder for Manchester City, has criticized Graeme Souness, a former player for Liverpool, for his unrelenting criticism of him.

Grealish has faced a lot of criticism since his record-breaking £100 million transfer from Aston Villa to Man City last year, with Souness being possibly his most vociferous detractor.

With only seven goals and four assists in 45 appearances for the Premier League champion Man City, Grealish has drawn criticism for his lack of offensive production.

Grealish has been labeled a “decent, not great player” by Souness, who also thinks he keeps the ball in his possession for too long.

Grealish has now responded to Souness by asserting that Pep Guardiola is the only person from whom he will be seeking advice on how to play.

“I’m not sure what Souness’ issue is with me. Before England’s UEFA Nations League matches with Italy and Germany, Grealish claimed, “He constantly says something about me while we’re on international duty with England.

“When he’s on Sky Sports and it’s all over the practice field, it’s hard to ignore. I’m not sure what problem he’s got because he was a fantastic player and frequently won.

“I know he has talked a lot about how I don’t move the ball quickly, but when I play for a manager like Pep Guardiola and he tells me to keep the ball as much as I can and have the balls to take it wherever, that is what I will strive to do.

“I constantly review my games afterward and am quite hard on myself. I am aware that there were several contests in which I did not perform well at all, particularly in the second half of the previous season.

“I’ll always have people supporting me. I knew when I agreed to join City and pay the fee that came with with it that it wouldn’t all be for laughs unless I got off to the kind of start Erling Haaland did. Only then would I avoid receiving a cane.
